Just as you are Enjoying Your Daily Dose Carbonated Beverages, Coffee and Tea, Think of UTI

Have you ever experienced frequent urinations? It is sometimes irritating, especially when you are in the middle of something. To make things worse, when you urinate, there is this burning and irritating sensation in your urethra.

Do not panic. It is probably just urinary tract infection or UTI. Urination, or referred to as “peeing,” is a normal action for everyone. When you take in food and most especially fluids, you will be urinating in no time.

But sometimes, you get that feeling that you have to urinate, but when you get to the comfort room, there would be a very little amount of urine coming out. Adding insult to injury, your urine would smell real foul. That is definitely urinary tract infection.

The urinary tract is a system in our body composed of six major parts, two kidneys, two ureters that are connected to each kidney, the bladder and the urethra.

Whenever a person intakes food and fluids, the kidney processes these and filters the bad and good elements. All the good ones are distributed to different body systems which enhances them. The bad elements are then processed and become urine.

This urine passes through the ureter then to the bladder. The bladder is then waiting to be filled with urine. Once it is filled up, muscles in your bladder, making the urine flow onto the urethra and out of your body. That is when you pee.

As mentioned, you are bound to urinate when taking liquids. It is therefore best that the liquids you take are those that will promote a good and clean kidney that will not cause any future problems to your system.

Is it then okay to drink carbonated beverages, coffee and tea? Sure, why not.

But in moderation and make sure that along with these, you also drink lots of water all the time. Other beverages that could promote a good excretory system aside from water would be cranberry juice and coconut milk.

The food you eat may also affect your system and cause UTI. Salty food and junkfoods are common cause of this illness.

Try to put some control on these cravings for your own well-being. Bacteria may enter the kidney by consuming these types of food and those carbonated drinks, coffee and tea. This will eventually develop into that irritating UTI.

There are some distinguishing signs of UTI. People suffering from UTI usually have bad smelling urine and that is cloudy sometimes. There is pain when you urinate.

You even experience nocturia (urination during evenings) and pyuria, wherein there is pus in your urine. Sometimes there is blood in your urine. On pyelonephritis, these said symptoms still occur plus emesis and vomiting, abdominal pains, unusually high fever, fatigued easily and sweating happens.

Lots of methods can be done to prevent UTI. The basic thing though is healthy diet and good lifestyle. Go the extra mile in preventing illnesses no matter how simple the sickness is.

As they say, prevention is better than cure. Remember, money cannot buy health.
